After struggling with charge after charge on my Surface Book Pro 2, I settled on the fact that in the event of a charging dock failure I just needed a new cable and not a whole new power supply. As expected, after about 4 months (it was the longest life record at the time) the standard cable failed and I needed a new one. I ordered one in June 2019 and it is only available now (January 2020). Unfortunately it is, but this cable has withstood a lot of abuse; Flights, traveling across the states, chasing after a storm, falls, unintentional stress, etc. It has endured hours of gaming marathons, only warming up when my computer did. A week ago it started failing and then stopped loading. However, I am not upset with the product at all! This $13 cable lasted 6 months! So much easier to replace in your wallet! I've just ordered 2 more cables because having backups is never a bad thing and for all the design flaws of the charger itself these guys seem to have found a way to extend its lifespan. One star off because it broke, but I'm still a happy buyer.
