Works fine but not for my application.
I have this to split the directv channel sound to my stereo (I use directv to hear music around the house). The problem with this box is that HDMI is not a pass-through and should always be on. also for television. I really am not
- Audio support: RCA L/R analog output specially supports 2CH PCM stereo audio. SPDIF output supports 2CH PCM, 5.1CH Dolby Digital, DTS Audio (Dolby Digital Plus is not supported). This audio extractor outputs Dolby True-HD, DTS-HD, AC3, DTS and DSD audio formats, but cannot decode these audio formats. If your amplifier or soundbar does not support these audio formats, there will be no sound from your soundbar or amplifier, so set the audio format in your HDMI source to PCM/LPCM audio format.
