I liked the design of these beads but was not at all happy with the size. For those of you thinking of ordering them for braids like me, please be careful. If you look at the photos you will see that the holes are no bigger than the head of a straight pin. This is not enough for the end of the braid unless the ends of your braid are tiny. These beads are not suitable for large braids. However, they will be fine on loosened ends. However, this is the perfect size for jewelry making. Just the right size for a necklace or bracelet and a light feather if you're thinking of earrings. As you can see in the photo I posted (pic #4) the bead holes on some tubular beads need to be gouged. Holes for beads almost do not open. In general I love them for their beautiful design but not for the purpose I bought them for. If you are purchasing these to decorate your braids rather than buying them online I would suggest you check with your local makeup store so you can see the exact size. They appear larger in stock photos than they actually are.
