I originally bought them because winter is coming and I have arthritis. That means a lot of pain when my knees get a little cold. These knee pads are great! First, they don't go to bed. Second, they essentially keep my knees warm. I liked them so much I bought another pair (so I could wash them and still have a pair to wear). Then my son-in-law injured his knee and he just needed some push to heal. They worked for him too. I recommend them to anyone with similar needs.
