These are large styrofoam stamps. They're about three inches in diameter, so they're pretty big (the size of the palm of my hand). Children may have a little trouble with them because they are so big. If they can't grab them by hand, evenly pressing without shifting can cause some blurring of the image. But I like their big sizes. My daughter and I mostly use them with acrylic paints (also craft paints) because while they are made of *good* durable foam (NOT the cheap sponge that some other stamps are made of), liquid/liquid acrylic gives us a much cleaner image than stamp color. Highly recommended. One note: they are made (and sold) by the Oriental Trading Company for a better price, but with the added shipping, it made more sense for me to buy them through Revain.
