I'm in California where of course we have a dry heat. This works well if you keep the ice tank full, which is tricky as it melts quickly when hot. I also used blue box cubes in addition to ice cubes and chilled water. Chills are noticeable but not significant. However, I give 4 stars for the fan performance as it blows well at altitude. In the end I wish I could return it but the deadline has passed so I'm stuck with dear illustrious fan.
