I don't live in the north east where it's been so cold this winter. I live in the desert in the southwest. I'm telling you this because it might be important to you. It's cold here, but not -20 like many this winter. However, there is no heating in our house, so the house was usually 40-50 years old. When you live in the hot desert eight months a year, your blood thins and the cold becomes hard to bear. You were perfect for me! They fit which was good as I have an odd build. I wore them as pajamas and wore them under my clothes. I'm not used to wearing layered winter clothing and thought it would be uncomfortable but it isn't and I suspect it has to do with the really good fit. They were warm without being too bulky or too hot. I don't know how people in the north would rate them, but for me they were perfect.
