Received the thermos today, it was used and came without a steel mug and an 84 oz thermos, for $42 I won't complain too much. I already have a 1 gallon thermos that keeps coffee hot for 24 hours and cold for 48 hours. I make 1-1/2 gallons at a time, hospital strength. This was preferred because it was short and easy to manoeuvre. I poured 90% hot coffee and shook it to see if it leaked, no problem. When the thermos loses its tightness, the heat capacity is lost by about half. So I am very happy with this thermos. If a thermos flask keeps coffee warm for more than 24 hours, the coffee begins to lose its pleasant taste. So it's as good as it gets. It's been a month since I've had this Buzio 1 gallon thermos, I fill it with hot coffee, after 12 hours it's still pretty hot, black but with milk, I heat up my 16 inch plastic thermos mug for 30 seconds, after 24 hours of drinking it black, I heat my 16 oz mug for 30 seconds, with milk I heat it for 60 seconds, after that my pot is empty and it's time to make more coffee. But I would say that thermos is on top.
