This is an intelligent rear view camera. His inner robot is always at work, scanning the scene for animal movements. If he "sees" something, he'll start recording in 0.2 seconds! No more fetching footage just to see a creature's tail exit the frame. It has an actuation range of 65 feet during the day and 40 feet at night with infrared (IR) illumination. It takes 8 AA batteries in the case and they say - I haven't tested it - that they last all year on standby. It records high-resolution color images during the day and crisp black-and-white IR images at night. A 32GB memory card is included, which is nice as some similar devices have to be ordered separately. It is waterproof and can operate in temperatures ranging from -4F to 140F. This product page has all the specs, so I just want to say that this rig delivers great photo, video and audio quality. This would be great for hunting, but I use it to monitor wildlife activity on hunting trails through my woodland property, as well as for security purposes - from two-legged intruders with malicious intent. Great game camera - highly recommended.
