I currently use 3 of these cables for my dogs. I tried other strings. They twist and tangle easily. The cable in the Beast Tie Out will not tangle or twist. The locking hook is strong and easy to remove. I live in Jamaica and have large dogs that pull on these ties all the time. After about 18 months, the cable finally rusts at the ends due to the salty air. I've had a few of them that needed replacing for this reason, but I'd say it's normal wear and tear due to the environment and not a weakness. There is no better dog tethering system on the market. The only better option is a custom stainless steel cable, and it's going to be prohibitively expensive. I highly recommend this product.
