Tapered, not stepped

I was excited when I bought it, BUT I didn't notice that the pliers are not stepped but conical. If you reduce the size, the square loop will be correct at its widest point, but everything after that will be slightly smaller. As with these pliers, I have to make each square loop fit separately. Hit the target to have square pliers. Disappointed, but learned to look carefully.
