Figured out how to make it stronger! Disconnect all the hardware and use the long rod at the bottom and the small connector at the top! HAVE TO DO!

UPDATE - The next day we thought the tree flat was broken so we fixed it. So we learned to take a long pole and stick it in the ground. And put the extension cord on it. WOW - this solved so many problems. So cancel the included hardware. You need to change the way it works. Attach a long bar to the bottom, then add a washer and nut when inserting each layer to pull down and secure, then the long bar will match the design and you don't have to shave anything. Washers and nuts must be purchased. You will need 2 washers and 2 nuts. Now assemble and place the extension on top and tighten the top layer. Now the tree is much stronger. Brilliant! Now it works great. We also stuffed paper and towels around the pole to keep the pole in the middle of the plastic cases. So get ready to fix it up a bit. Now about fur babies. The cats love it. Like how they love Christmas trees. I have 4 of these and they were all on at once - see photos. One of my orange tabbies weighs 18 pounds and is holding up very well. I placed the fabric around the artificial grass below, like the Christmas tree apron idea. Better than artificial grass underneath. But cats love the idea of artificial grass. However, the cat apartment is very creative and cats like to hide in the foliage. None of me have tried to eat the leaves. All in all a fun idea. I just can't give 5 stars because it needs a little customization.
