I'm a mobile DJ specializing in weddings. This means I need a high-quality, clear, and reliable microphone system that I can count on to ensure one of the most important days of my clients' lives isn't turned into a nightmare due to interference or poor audio and device quality. Microphones from Shure, Sennheiser and others are a thing of the past, and Phenyx Pro systems have held their own against these better-known companies. I first bought a PTU 5000 system that works amazingly well. Long range, high-quality sound and high-quality feel. Metal-bodied handheld microphones feel durable and allow you to hand them over to someone who may have had too much to drink without much concern. However, I needed an adjustable frequency as many of the events were taking place outdoors and also because of the possible interference from our ever expanding electronic world. Quickly switch to a new channel, use IR to program your mic, and be back in the game in under a minute with interference-free mics. I plan to buy 2 handheld microphones directly from Phenyx Pro to use instead of 2 belt pouches. The ability to buy and mix and match parts is a nice feature that many other manufacturers don't offer. Questions.
