DSLR without a mirror!

This camera works just like the old DSLRs. The only thing missing is a mirror. The electronic viewfinder is easy to use. The LCD screen is bright and easy to read. Switching between them is easy, just press a button. Chances are you'll be using the viewfinder more than the screen. The 44x zoom is great. It's like an 800mm lens on an SLR camera. The SR Auto mode is remarkable in that it recognizes what it's looking at and makes the necessary adjustments. SP mode is useful to set the camera to the same type of recording (e.g. sports recording). The automatic mode is standard for every day, I have not used other modes. Macro and Flash settings are great. Last week on vacation I took over 300 photos. When I used the correct mode setting, the images came out very well. I had some trouble choosing the right indoor prom dance mode since it was my first day with a camera. The alkaline batteries that come with the camera last for about 25 shots. I switched to Lithium, after about 100 shots I got "Low Battery" readings, but when I checked them at home they were fine. I wouldn't leave the house with backup batteries. The downloaded manual can be printed as an 8 x 10 page PDF, the manual is well written and easy to read. This camera is as good as a DSLR at half the price, but smaller and lighter. But remember, this isn't a point-and-shoot and you can't carry it in your pocket. You will love this camera!
