Bulky, not very attractive, but protective

First off, the instructions on how to open this thing to insert a pill are terrible. There is a small tiny drawing that doesn't clearly show what to do. The secret is to find two small hidden latches at the end of the cover opposite the charging port. You have to get your nails there to free them. Do not try to remove the silicone cover completely. It peels off a bit but doesn't want to come off completely like some other phone and tablet cases. Once you put the tablet in there, it's protected in such a way that you can barely reach the switch (which is also a fingerprint reader). This makes using this feature cumbersome. Basically, once in the case, my tablet is twice as thick as it is without it. As received, the two strap mounts were attached at diagonal corners, which I found to be non-functional. You can remove and rearrange them, but you'll need a stick or small screwdriver to poke the elastic through the slot in the silicone. I haven't used the tape yet. I don't know if I'm geeky enough to walk around with a tablet around my neck like a license plate. The charging port is behind a silicone cover that needs to be opened to insert the charging cable (although there is a fake hole in the silicone shaped like a charging port.) Again, the cover is thick enough that you need to be careful when You plug in the charger 'cause it's so far away. The footrest works but you have to undo the strap and make it big to open the footrest. The footrest has a small latch that keeps it very secure. It could be a project of sorts to push the latch far enough to fold the stand when you're done with that. Because of its position, it holds the tablet at a fairly slight angle. I like to set my tablet up for reading in portrait mode and it doesn't work very well for that. It would be better for touch typing. The wrist strap is fixed with Velcro, wide and secure. Since my Galaxy S7 tablet is big and quite heavy, my hand gets tired after a while. The case has a secure slot for the S7 stylus which works well for me and feels secure. The only thing to know about this case is the lack of protection for the tablet's front glass panel. I know I can buy a separate screen protector. I've had these before and don't know if I'm ready for built-in dust particles and bubbles on this big screen. The top of the case offers some protection, but if the tablet falls face down onto a protruding rock, it's likely to shatter.
