Huge hood! Ideal for long curls.
This hat is huge. I have relatively long curls and all my hair fits perfectly. I even have room to grow. Like others, the inner lining is not satin mesh. I usually wear the bonnet inside out, with the satin side touching the hair and the mesh side facing out. I just fold the elastic into the hood to make it more comfortable. That works great. I had no problems with the band being overtightened. The band is snug on the body but I like it because it keeps the hat in place and doesn't come loose at night. I really like this hood. However, I am giving 4 stars because of the non-satin lining and because the hood retains heat so my head sometimes gets very hot when wearing it.
