Use this tent a lot!

I've been using this tent for a year with no problems. I was surprised how many bad reviews I saw, so I decided to share my experience. I love this kids tent. We used it several times a week in spring, summer and fall. It works as a sun visor and as an insect barrier. It can get hot in the sun with little wind, but any tent will do (no pipe dream). There is a little trick when setting up and taking down the tent. When you take it out of the bag, hold onto the hub first and let the legs twist and fall. Shake it a little if someone gets stuck, or gently help the leg rotate. Then while holding the hub, grab the top rope and SLOWLY pull the rope and push on the hub. Make sure your legs don't get caught anywhere. Now place the assembled tent on the ground and secure it. Make sure you secure the tent as a small child can easily knock it over. To dismantle the tent, first remove the pegs and child. (laughs) Keep the tent flat on the ground no matter how much you want to lift and fold it. It gets a lot harder if you don't do this. Then grab the sleeve and the top rope. Release the hub. The legs will bend. Don't set up your tent yet! Now, still holding onto the hub and rope, slowly/gently push down on the ground. The leg segments turn around. Sometimes a person can be stubborn. Gently help her turn around. Once all of the leg segments are upside down, grab the tent, roll it up like an umbrella, and stuff it back into your bag. Ready! Hope that helps!
