Both generations of the Nexus 7 are too long for this sun visor. The manufacturer doesn't claim it will fit the Nexus 7, so I've refrained from giving it a low rating. It is very well made and includes two long Velcro straps and a third loose strap. With a little effort, you can get it to stay on the Nexus 7 - see UrbanLegend's reviewer for a step-by-step guide on how he secures the Velcro around his Nexus. I tried his method and was dissatisfied with both the effort involved and the resulting lack of stability. You may have more success. I don't want to mess with this every time I'm preparing to take off in the middle of a field. The shadow returned, I'll look for more with a donkey.
