Review on πŸ”’ Emma Kites Lockable 8,7-Inch Inflatable: Unmatched Versatility and Security! by Marquel Rubio

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Good lightweight reel at a reasonable price. It copes well with huge kites in strong beach winds.

I took a large 25ft octopus kite to the beach. There's a thick line to fly. Got this role to run it all I'm glad I did. Despite the lightweight and seemingly flimsy plastic construction, it held up well on that ride. I was concerned about the cheap locking mechanism but it worked great every time. I've launched and reeled in the kite multiple times. No real problems. The main complaints are that the handle is too small and doesn't fit in my hand. I don't have big hands either. But as a result I have a lot of scratches on my fingers and knuckles from this thing. I brought gloves and had to put them on. Also, the camps didn't like sand or salt water. The beach is a common place to fly a kite. I expect it to handle those conditions better and be easier to flush if something gets in the way. I hope next time I take it out of my storage bag it won't rust hopelessly. Also, I'm left-handed, so that was an additional problem. I'll have to see if I can unscrew and flip things so I'm more comfortable next time.

Pros
  • Great design
Cons
