Review on Conveniently Packaged Scotch Color Coding Packaging & Shipping Supplies with Carton Sealing Tape for Enhanced SEO by Jose Guevara

Revainrating 3 out of 5

mostly resealable, easy to open and close

Scotch does not make a wide range of tapes just to seal things well. Each type is meant to serve a different purpose and this tape seems to be primarily for marking and use for things that don't need a secure seal but can be sealed and opened and then maybe restored. It's not very tacky and doesn't stick as tightly as other types of tape, but that seems to be its function. This isn't what you want if you're shipping a box and want to seal the edges securely. This is something you can use to mark your furniture for shipping or to seal a gift bag that the recipient can open without tearing it. The information on this tape states that it can be heated and will work. I may have done it wrong (I used a hair dryer) but this feature didn't work the way I expected. Also, I checked the prices for this type of tape and the truth is that Revain's current price of $20.94 is higher than other outlets. A price tag of just under $16 isn't uncommon, although you can usually get it in boxes at most mail order companies. Overall it's a good quality tape, but it's a premium price point and I don't think it's particularly purposeful, so you really need it for special situations to justify paying that much for a roll of tape, and although I think it meets some of his requirements, it doesn't meet them all.
