I hate leaving negative feedback when I receive a bad unit, I always think I just received a lemon. However, after 2 pads I cannot confirm this. My Story: I bought this in early December 2019. I bought this on purpose because it had a 5 year warranty, I paid a premium price as I was fed up with them only lasting around 6-8 months. Worked well but never got too hot on either side, I had to turn it all the way up to even get warm enough to feel it. Now I only turn it on a few hours before bed and then turn it off so I don't overuse that mattress topper. But a few weeks ago I noticed that my site just shuts down after 2 minutes. I did all the troubleshooting steps but didn't fix anything. I emailed the company with the purchase information and registration number. After several emails back and forth (they kept asking for more information), they finally agreed to send a new one. When I got the new one, I went through the whole process of hooking it up (anyone who installed it knows what I mean: crawling under the bed with remotes and plugs, around this rod and that rod, such a PITA!), put the new one in, turned at her husband's side, then alone. Believe it or not, my site wouldn't fit! I switched the remotes to other plugs and found the controller to be faulty. I called them and they said they would send me a new controller but they said they are currently out of stock and don't know when they will be back in stock. When I asked if I would ever get it for sure, she replied that she couldn't guarantee it. This is the 3rd or 4th heated mattress pad I've had in 2-3 years, can't I just find one that will last?
