Described exactly. This is a thinner type of cable - definitely not the kind you use outdoors, but the kind you use indoors for lamps or TVs. I had to use one to replace an old two prong outlet and stretch it a little longer than my lamp cord could. That worked great for both of them. It comes with three connectors - two on one side and one on the other. The only thing that bothers me is that the plug has to be twisted to turn it on. I guess that's a precaution, so it's good if you have small children! It doesn't bother me much, but you have to fiddle with it for a few seconds to connect it.
