My first impression of the product was that it came wrapped in plastic claiming to be made by a plastic free company. So it was disappointing to say the least. After removing the plastic and removing the blanket from the reusable cloth pouch, found it to be very soft and comfortable. I washed it straight away and had no problem with excess lint. It was about what I expected for a new blanket. I opened the dryer about halfway and cleaned the lint filter just in case. I also washed and dried on medium heat. The blanket appears to be of good quality and has not found any defects. I use a weighted comforter between the sheets and quilt so I can't confirm warmth, but this is a lightweight comforter. I also thought this would come with matching pillowcases but it doesn't. I will update my review if my mind changes, but for now I would recommend this product if you are looking for a lightweight comforter and don't mind the lack of matching pillowcases. UPDATE: After a few months of using this blanket and multiple washes, I still love it. The only thing I would like to add is REALLY HIDDEN. I have a full size bed and I ordered a queen size comforter and I think it's almost full size now. I always wash and dry warm, and the instructions say to use it cool, so it goes without saying. They don't seem to shrink cotton. Still doesn't change my purchase recommendation, but I'm also considering going one size larger.
