I've been playing a few NFS racing games on my PC using only the keyboard so I decided to try this wheel to see if it would improve the gaming experience. very secure to my desk with the included clamp. I wouldn't recommend trying it without the clip as the suction cups will initially hold very well on a smooth, clean surface, but will eventually slip off once they stop sucking. The clamp ensures that the wheel does not move a millimeter. The pedal unit comes with a fold-out heel rest that keeps the unit in place very well while you ride. I haven't used it on carpets so can't comment, but on hard floors you'll want to make sure the floor and cushions on the bottom of the unit are clean. If it doesn't, the unit will slip back and forth all over the place when switching between gas and brake. It is enough to quickly wipe them with a damp paper towel and then wipe dry. The pedals feel well made and durable. This takes a bit of getting used to as in a real car the pedals are usually overhung so the foot pushes forward. Obviously on these pedals they are bottom hinged so instead of pushing your toes forward you push down more. However, once you get used to the feeling, it won't require much attention. The pedal set connects to the steering wheel with a cable that is permanently attached to the pedals but has a plug that looks like a telephone jack. on the other end. I wish the cord was plugged in at both ends in case you end up breaking the retaining clip, or so you can use a longer cord so it doesn't get in your legs. When I connected the steering wheel to my computer, Windows 10 recognized it immediately. No problem. There were a few tweaks that needed to be made in-game to get the sensitivity to my liking and allow me to tweak some of the buttons. And there are many buttons. It's a PS4 controller that's built into the steering wheel, so there's a lot going on, but once you get it set up and get the hang of it, it becomes very useful. After about 4 months of continuous use, I heard a loud CLACK under the wheel arch and the wheel no longer centered itself automatically. Apparently the elastic cord that automatically centered the wheel had come loose or snapped. While this wasn't necessarily a bad thing (real steering wheels don't auto-center!), the wheel became very wobbly when turning as there was no more tension on the shaft. I contacted the seller and received a response within a few hours. They said they would send a new one as soon as it was in stock. Of course I got a replacement within a week. No hassle, no need to return the broken one. I can't say enough good things about the service I received in resolving the issue. Overall, this is amazing value for money. Currently I see no need to "upgrade" the bike to a more expensive one unless I break in the replacement. This does exactly what I want.
