I used to have Pyle radios and never had a problem with them. I don't think they're top notch, but then again, I'm not a top-notch person either. I'm a "great brand, good price, easy install" type. I think it's crazy to spend a fortune on a radio when most of them sound the same to me as more affordable radios like this Pyle PLR31MP Digital In-Dash Receiver. I have a very nice Dodge pickup with a two tone (purple and blue) chameleon paint job. I'm proud of my pickup and I want it to be beautiful inside and out. When the standard radio died, I didn't want to spend a fortune on a new one. But I needed some options like booting something from an SD card or flash drive etc. Sound Around Radio gave me the options I needed. It was easy to replace (as a girl with no mechanical skills, that's saying something) and the only thing I additionally needed was a dash spacer/repositioner because the radio didn't quite fit my custom Dodge Dash size. This was a common problem when replacing radios in large Dodge pickups. Any other car I've owned would have been perfect, but certainly not a truck! The dash gasket was very cheap and the guys at my local car stereo shop had what I needed. This is the only remote problem with it. I've read other reviews and just shake my head when people say this radio causes fires etc. I should just say "connect properly" and that won't happen to you. It has fantastic sound, fantastic remote control and for the price I'm thrilled I got this radio. I will have no hesitation in using Sound Around again and buying another Pyle radio if the other one in my car fails. I received this item at a discount in exchange for an honest and unbiased review.
