I needed something very specific and wasn't sure I would find it until I saw this cat apartment. My 11lb Yorkie likes to look out the window but is too small to reach. However, if I put a chair in it, it climbs onto the windowsill and I just don't think the screen will hold up if he pushes too hard and we're on the 2nd floor. He also likes to lie in the sun just to relax, so a short stepladder isn't the best choice. This little apartment is absolutely perfect as if it was custom made for us. I put the bottom bunk by the window, leaving enough room for the top bunk so he wouldn't be comfortable jumping on the windowsill. It took a little practice to bounce up and down, but not for long. To get down he just jumps on the ground. This apartment was easy to assemble, the perfect solution for my small dog and I am very happy with my purchase.
