Used to buy more expensive Tritium/Navy/Shock resistant watches but they either went through water ingress or because that couldn't withstand the above average impact . Instead, I've been buying these Armitrons for about 15 years now, they hold up really well and are incredibly affordable. My last Armitron (albeit an older model that I can't find anymore) lasted almost 5 years; The nylon strap almost fell apart, but the battery eventually died (otherwise the watch still worked!). This was the first time I tried this particular model. Has held up very well so far after a month of almost daily water immersion combined with ambient temperature changes in excess of 100F. Let's see if it lasts as long as the others. If branding and looks aren't critical, they perform just as well, if not better, than a watch ten times the price.
