JUST SAY NO! for container sets

I will give a full review below but if you are like me and just want to know the nuts and bolts (facts) without reading the book then just don't buy this brand/set because if you don't like them They are damaged or completely missing no matter what the listing says, you CANNOT RETURN or get a refund! Apparently, storing food in plastic is "dangerous" and "flammable". So, I was really excited to get these because I had finally completed a full and lengthy kitchen makeover and now I'm finally getting down to the fun stuff, decorating and organizing! Anyway, the ONLY good thing about them is how quickly they arrived! One thing I always do before buying anything online is to check the return policy information because no matter how detailed it is, it may not be as expected, damaged, etc. Listing for this product, just below the yellow one "Add to Cart" , it clearly says "Return Policy: Refund or Exchange Accepted". Of course I was hoping that it's what I wanted and that I wouldn't have to go back, but I always want that option, just in case. As soon as they arrived I hand washed/dried them and prepared to fill them with items. Pretty quickly, I realized that not even half a pack of standard-sized cereal would fit in one of the containers, let alone a whole box (the image of two full containers of cereal isn't even a full box at 12.4 net ounces). The container on the left of the picture is the largest you get) But that's my opinion, I should have paid more attention when the math teacher was discussing the weight/volume conversion. No big deal, I had plenty of other items to use them on. However, the real problems are with the lids for these small containers. You have to fight that little silicone "button" to open/close them and it's just not practical. There isn't a really good way to open/close the buttons, but putting the lid on was a little easier. When you put the lid on, you can push up on the opposite side of the lid to lift it and push down when the lid is closed. If the lid is closed and the button is pressed, it is problematic to lift it again. In the photos I show that even a butter knife can't be slipped under to pull it out. Just bad design in general. This is what you are dealing with with lids that work as intended, but 5 out of 7 lids don't work properly at all. For non-working lids, you can also remove the lid in the "closed" state without even touching the button. In principle, it makes no sense as far as "tightness" is concerned. The bottom line is that most of them didn't work, and the ones that did work didn't work! One last thing, just FYI, these containers are NOT transparent, they are gray in color. So if the color of the content is part of your kitchen decor, this is not the best choice. The top photo on CLEAR's list of cute containers is not what you get. I've tried to represent the hue in my photos by putting plain white paper inside, but the darkness of the container is hard to see. As they are NON-REFUNDABLE, it's generally not worth buying them and taking the risk!
