I have read reviews from others who have complained about how difficult it is to fit these strap mounts into the camera mounts. I'm a veteran of years of negotiating Nikon strap mounts that are essentially the same as these, minus the Nikon logo and a much higher price. The reason why people have difficulty is because the manufacturer does not provide any instructions and people think the procedure is intuitive. Well it isn't. Basically, install the steel ring on the camera eyelet until it rotates fully and moves freely. You can use the included blue plastic tool to separate the open end from the rest of the ring. Once fully installed, hold the side with the open ends to the right or left of the tab, not directly above it. This is most people's mistake. Now take the black plastic guard and wrap one side of the hook around the single ring between the two open ends. Then go to the opposite black edge and gently press it against the other side of the ring where there are two layers of the ring. It would be easier to see it on video, but I won't waste time filming it. I gave this product 5 stars mainly because it's really good, but I might as well take a star off for the lack of instructions. Do you hear, manufacturer?
