It might not have exotic unicorn extract, but it's impressive! I like it! Be sure to thoroughly clean the door seals. If necessary, take an all-purpose cleaner and a toothbrush and really clean the seals - this will greatly extend the life and effectiveness of the product. It smells like citronella, like those mosquito-repellent candles you buy in the summer. On hard (dense) rubber it just clumps up, but if you "buff" it into rubber as it dries, it stays flat and then dries out completely. On foam rubber, as with most 90's and 2000's door seals, it will begin to soak immediately (when DRY) giving a dull matte finish at first. The more you massage it, the more noticeable its effects will be and the shinier it will be. But don't freak out. Once dry, I went upstairs and reapplied it to obvious worn spots on the gaskets, just in case. The next day the fillings look like new. I haven't noticed any bulging in the rubber but the texture is softer and I can tell by just feeling them they seal better. They appear softer and more pliable, more flexible and more durable. As a detailer, I typically spend a lot of time getting door jambs properly cleaned—there's no magic splatter-and-hide tactic here. On older cars, the rubber often begins to deteriorate and eventually sticks to the paint in the pillars. It seems like if you use it early enough in the car's life and keep it running, it could reduce and/or eliminate this problem. At $8-9, it's pretty affordable to have on hand. Long story short I will be buying a few more of these to have on hand as they are a great finishing touch! My only dislike for this product is that the applicator is a bit boring. The foam is not very dense, very soft and doesn't hold much product. I found that the foam immediately discolored (turned black) and didn't put much product on the seal. You have to think like shoe polish because that's what this bottle looks like. Has a pressure valve on the end that releases product when you press on it, but the bottle has to be upside down for this to work. I think if you had small foam applicators or even those dense foam brushes you get at the hardware store you could make a small makeshift brush to apply to the weatherstrips in the door jamb - this bottle doesn't allow that on some cars. I wasn't afraid to get them on my hands so I went into town but eventually the foam stops working and you have to use another application method. YMMV.5 stars because this product is amazing and I wish I had known about it sooner. Now it's part of almost every detailed work I do.
