Review on Curtain Grommets - 8 Pack, Pewter, 1.56 Inch by Carol Miller

I finally gave in and bought them here for over $15 and arrived today with the large ones which are also Dritz which I bought for 1/3 the price of a matching set of 8. I make a custom bag from a special yarn. for a friend and needed bushings for two sizes. I have 1/2 size real brass and silver metal grommets that would fit, but she loves PINK so the bag is a combination of pink 500D Cordura Street fabric and pink gray ripstop nylon with inner lining. I'm going to use a LARGE hub on each of the narrower ends and 4 smaller ones on each of the wider sides so it has lots of extra holes to choose from for her different projects and somehow fits all yarn weights. However, my downgrade from 5 to 3 stars is the price. If anything made out of plastic that uses half the plastic or less should cost three times as much as a version twice the size for exactly the same amount of 8 per pack. No, I thought paying $16 for a set of 1 inch thick plastic grommets would be overkill as it pretty much doubles the cost of the fabric and materials already included in the project. So yes, crazy. However, I wanted the project to be really special, so I bit the bullet, so to speak, and bought them along with the larger ones. I pondered carefully and at length for about a week whether I should make the decision of either just going for the super large bag or saving a total of $10 by buying packs of the large ones, but in the end I just decided that my friend was worth it.
