I bought this to use my Nikon D7100 as a webcam and not have to worry about battery life. The D7100 comes with an EL-15 battery and this device fits the same as the OEM battery. I can also snap the battery door into place (note that the D7100's battery door has a small rubber piece that needs to be flipped open to reveal a power cable slot that allows the battery door to be closed.
