The first ones ordered came completely broken, the packaging is questionable and needs improvement (is definitely in a plastic case), but the replacement came ok. I love HOB-Rad Biofilters because by thoroughly cleaning my reservoir and filters I can keep the good bacteria out with ease, not to mention they're pretty damn quiet. I've only had to replace them once and this was due to damage to the ones I had which rarely happens but when they break I let the old ones float in the tank for a while before throwing them away as my plecos love it, to suck on them. Very easy to install, you just put them on and they go away.
