I've used similar vacuum bags before so I know what to expect. We needed more so got this product which has a range of sizes which will be very helpful. The first thing that struck me is that these bags appear to use thinner plastic sheets. But it didn't seem to affect performance. The bags come with clips for closing. After filling the bag and sealing it with your fingers, run these clips over the zipper (while squeezing the clip firmly) to ensure the seal is effective. I stuffed 4 sweatshirts into the bag, first closed and sealed it with my fingers. tighten by passing the clamp along the gasket 4 times. I then removed the blue plastic plug and used a vacuum to remove the air. The air was out in seconds. I also used one of these bags to roll up a memory foam mattress. I don't want to go into detail, but you can find instructions online. It worked great for that purpose too. Overall I am very satisfied with this product.
