My dryer drum stopped spinning and after a quick google search I determined it was probably a broken belt. After watching a short video and taking my dryer apart, I found that this was indeed the problem. I was initially afraid it was a bad engine or something. Anyway I was looking for a belt and found this kit which has everything the repair video suggested to replace when changing belts. For the most part everything was easy to replace and the instructions were easy enough to follow but I need a second pair. Hands to hold the drum while I finished installing the belt. I had to lie on the floor and put my hand under the drum to thread the belt through the tensioner and into it (I think this is called a spindle, not sure if the term is correct). several attempts to turn it on. I ended up having to use a flathead screwdriver as leverage to get the strap tight enough to tighten. The drum keeps moving. It doesn't, so make sure you have one. The level of the nose isn't terrible, but it's louder than standard rollers. My dryer was relatively cheap and had been in use for about 10 years. If I had to replace it it wouldn't be the end of the world, but I'm glad this kit was available for a semi-quick fix.
