These Basic Essentials lip balm tubes do not match the picture exactly. I also thought there was a slight sheen in the plastic caps, but there isn't. There are no silver-grey tubes, only fully transparent ones, and the salmon and orange colors are almost entirely identical. You will have a hard time seeing the difference. These lip balm tubes are really pretty and seem to be of pretty good quality. I like the colors but the caps are much lighter than the picture. This does not affect the integrity of the product. It only affects the reputation of the company. I've also purchased Kare and Kind lip balm tubes (which come with pretty stickers) which are very similar but have larger, more secure, and tighter lids than these Basic Essential lids. I'm not saying these caps are free, but they're just no safer than the minimum effective level. The caps are looser than lip balms. So the picture this company shows you is not exactly what you will get. It shows very bright, vivid, shimmering colors. In fact, they're cute and attractive, but this is a much more watered-down version. They are completely transparent, light Easter color. I wouldn't have any complaints if I hadn't already seen what I should have gotten. See the pipe on the left, the silver one? In fact, there is no real color on it. Completely transparent. So I don't know what these guys want to come up with, but they don't have to. These are really pretty and colorful lip balm tubes and I look forward to using them.
