I wanted to switch from a plastic toothbrush lid to a UV sanitizer. I've heard that UV sanitizers are effective at killing microorganisms and bacteria, not all germs, but most of them can be destroyed by UV light. That's reason enough for me to start. This includes my Oral-B Genius X 10000. I tried it with a manual toothbrush and it fits with no problems. The sanitizer is lightweight so the toothbrush sits on the counter and doesn't tip over. The UV light stays on for 3 minutes to clean the brush and then turns off. The sanitizer runs on 2 AAA batteries, which are not included. It was very difficult and frustrating to put the batteries in and close the lid. Luckily I don't have to change the batteries often.
