The headlights are very bright and very long, much longer than I expected. It's 16' long when I read it again. So I did what most of us do at Christmas and covered the porch, the porch, and the windows. They look amazing and are a lot easier to make than these Christmas lights because the wire is thinner. I don't know how long the batteries last but I put them on a timer and they are fine after 2 days. It's only a few days until St. Patrick's Day, so another box of batteries should do the trick. The light box is waterproof, but the battery box is not. I put the battery compartment back in place. It's all covered. It should only last a few days. In general, excellent lamps for the house and street. I plan to use them for Christmas this year.
