All plates arrived in good condition, no cracks or chips but they weren't all the same and uniformly shaped. You could tell by the way they were folded. Not a complaint, just an observation. The color is not as bright and beautiful as the photos in the catalogue, they are darker and more brown than yellow. I understand they are made from pressed and dehydrated palm leaves so we cannot expect consistency. I use them to serve sandwiches and snacks, but if you're serving something juicy, be aware that the plate gets a little soggy. At the same time it does not get wet, the plate remains strong. I'm not sure how they are made. Does the process involve a hot press? I will find out and come back here. This would be a good guarantee that any bacteria or living organisms would be completely destroyed.
