Bought 12 closed and open plugs. Use of open connectors for parallel wiring and closed connectors where not required. The 12g wire is used in both open and closed connector types. Both types are well made and open forks are strong, much heavier and contain more metal than closed forks. If I were to do it again I would most likely just have all the ports open, even for connections where they are not needed. The knurling on the connectors feels nice and gives you some leverage when securing the wires in the connectors. Also, I like the "bias" of open-ended connectors, to me it seems to be able to withstand more stress from the cable. They are very well made, I don't think you need to worry about the fork breaking. I've twisted the fork, tried bending it etc just to check and it's really solid. Manufacturer's offer. In addition to knurling, add a "slot" on the cover screw for the exposed rear connector so it can be tightened further with a screwdriver. I would even spend a few euros more for a device with this function. I recommend and buy again.
