My 4 month old weighs 16 pounds. She touches the ground, perfect for soft rebounds. She keeps doing things, but her favorites are lights and chewing on a butterfly on a rubber string. As she is young I was afraid of being supported but this sweater suits her very well. If you have a small baby I would just wrap the baby in a blanket for support. I did it the first time but quickly realized that she didn't need it. This was arranged by my husband. I'm a skilled woman, he's not. general. But he did it successfully, that should tell you how easy it is to set up. It's been 2 months now she weighs just over 20lbs now she rocks side to side a lot. We washed the center seat 4 times and it slides in and out easily. Firm enough to hold on to. The transition to stage 2 was not easy either. I haven't had to change batteries yet. I wish there were more lights and sounds in other activities so she can focus for more than a minute when spinning. I usually give her extra toys to talk to and suck on. Also, one of the hanging toys doesn't fit as well as the other, so I have a feeling she's about to drop it.
