Received and returned my Surface 2 15/8GB RAM/265GB. First, the fit and finish is tight. There are no complaints. The lack of USB-C was embarrassing, but I decided to give it a try anyway. The display was gorgeous, another non-complaint. The main reasons for booting up were: 1. Battery life. SL2 struggled to give me 7 hours no matter how I set it up. Less than what people reported and a lot less than what Microsoft advertised.2. Slow. With built-in chip and RAM, everything should be faster.3. Perfomance. I couldn't get it to play movies in any app or player without severe hiccups/stuttering. With performance and battery life on par with the Surface Go, the laptop had to go. Maybe I got a lemon, but I also read that SL2 isn't user-patchable or updateable. You can't even replace a dead battery. It's impossible to open it without destroying it. Everything inside is glued, soldered or spot-welded. Microsoft has even acknowledged that due to the design of the devices, issues lead to the laptop being thrown away. Not very eco-friendly.
