Bad allergy means everything is washed before use. This one survived and fits on a high air mattress without tearing. No odors, no reaction to the topper which actually covers the entire surface with no legs hanging from the non-cotton materials when hanging over the edge of the bed while sleeping, hooray! It keeps the cold out when my tiny apartment loses heat in sub-zero temperatures, and I don't get too hot when temperatures rise again. It was just great! Sometimes mattress pads use such cheap materials on the sides that actually enclose the mattress that they rip before it's even used, but the stores don't want them out of the box. Needless to say we have wasted a lot of money over the years trying to find a quality topper. I'm glad I finally found a good one!
