I keep this in my bedside lamp to read to my kids before bed. I also read before bed. It's bright enough when you're around. Result: You yawn a little earlier and I'm less excited myself. It creates a warm, soothing atmosphere. My husband can sleep while I read. Color Temperature: It has a more pronounced orange-yellow hue than any bulb I've tried. Big difference from GE Relax bulbs which look white to me. Dimmable?: It says not dimmable on the box but I haven't tried it in any such source, will update the review if I find out. Bottom line: Like it and if they turn out to be dimmable I will be replacing many of the upstairs bulbs with these.
