Great speakers! in Home Audio

I was a bit worried about the lack of new reviews but I took a chance and I'm glad I did. Not only does the color (canyon) of the loudspeakers match my appearance perfectly, the sound of the loudspeakers is also impressive. My setup involves running speaker wire from a Pioneer internal receiver. After drilling a hole in the wall, I ran a wire around the perimeter of my yard (which gets buried, I hate wires sticking out) to the speakers. Impressed that there is a notch at the bottom of the stone speaker when trying to lay the speaker horizontally. The notch allows the speaker to sit flush without pinching the wire (an undocumented feature in the reviews I've read). I live in Las Vegas so I'm hoping these speakers will handle the heat and keep you posted if anything changes. However, I've taken the advice of various reviewers and used 14 gauge speaker wire, which seems fine to me. I have a pretty decent backyard and I'm lucky enough to have the speakers sit on a 5ft retaining wall. , which I think will help with speaker projection. When I bought these speakers I had several goals in mind. Looking for decent sound at a reasonable price. I wanted the bass system to be neither too big nor too small. I wanted something that didn't have exposed wires or markings that would make it too easy to tell it's an outdoor speaker. I also wanted a clean sound that didn't necessarily focus on the bass, but more on the mids and highs of the audio. Mainly so he can take over the roar of my waterfalls, which are pretty loud. So far I have to say that all my expectations have been met. I also use the Apple Airport Express to "stream" my music from my upstairs computer to the downstairs receiver, which in turn powers the outside speakers. . Of course, it's very cool that I not only control my music with my iPhone, but also the volume of the street loudspeakers.
