If I could leave zero stars, I would. I would not recommend this product to anyone unless you want your firearms/stats to go up in smoke. or worse, your home. I wanted to replace my desiccant stick in my gun cabinet with something better so I decided to give it a try. After receiving it in the mail today, I assembled the cable and connector according to the instructions that came with it. After emptying my safe to put it in the farthest corner, I plugged it into the safe's internal outlet. As soon as I turned it on, there was a spark and my switch worked. I don't see this having a very big draw so it's very important that he managed to turn the breaker off. I also found that this partially melted the tip on one of the output pins. I have a top of the line Liberty safe with an internal outlet and have never had this problem with any of the desiccant sticks. Just to make sure nothing was on my end and that it was still working, I reset and plugged in my switch. directly into an electrical outlet. Nothing happened when turned on and soon it started to warm up as it should. After letting it run for a few minutes, I turned it off. This time, when I pulled the plug from the outlet, an even bigger spark jumped out and burned my outlet. I will be returning this item and will also request a refund to replace my outlet. I have never been so disappointed with a purchase. Hopefully customer service is better than quality control with this company. I have included photos to show how dangerous this product is. I was really excited to try this but for now I'm sticking with a good old reliable fishing rod and silicone granule cans.
