Not as good as the JBL, but the new JBL will probably blow just as much as the old one, so who cares? It is in order.
All right. Fidelity is definitely lower than the original JBL, but close enough to tinker with. The 2412 doesn't seem like the most durable driver, so I don't feel bad about swapping out the diaphragm for something crappy considering it's likely to burn out again in a few months. If you pick it up, it will definitely go down. This allows you to move and rotate the bolts so that the sound is not distorted or muffled in any way.
