This was hands down one of the hardest things I've ever put together in my 42 years on this planet! Instructions suck, big time. You MUST assemble this upside down or the screws will not be tightened properly. Having to assemble this upside down and presenting the item upside down with four columns not aligned at right angles really turned me into an engineer! Also, I'm only one person, and I had to clumsily hold the item while holding it. Oh my god it was just awful! If you're skilled enough to put it together without throwing it against a wall or pulling your hair out, your cats will love it. As for the senior step, the middle step could be made slightly larger to give the cat more room to reach the top of the hammock. Stupid, what a small second step. Next to EVERYTHING, the hammock is strong and my cat lies in it.
