Review on Neewer 50cm / 20inch Aluminum Mini Tabletop Backlight Stand - Photography Studio Equipment (2 Stands) by Nicole Brown

In the lowest position it's about 12 inches and at this height it's very strong. I wouldn't put anything heavy on it if it's in a higher position, but a little light will do. I use it to hold my Alien Bee as a backlight or as a desktop video light stand. Everything seems to be working fine so far, but I'm not entirely sure about the plastic thumbscrews, but they can easily be replaced if they break. Obviously, one of the limitations is that the small legs don't offer the wide support that a traditional lighting stand offers. I would buy it again if I needed extra small light stands.
