The best part is that it's free! They give away all this amazing information for absolutely no charge, which makes me feel like I'm getting my money back in spades because there are literally thousands upon thousandsof other programs available at every price point from $100 up (and way beyond). It doesn't have as many bells & whistles or options compared to more expensive software but if your needs aren't too complex then perhaps its just right? For us we're using earthcache primarily for land use planning purposes - specifically mapping various types of development sites across our city limits.
